Experience a strategic planning method that
fosters inclusion and collaboration.
Dr. Wong will walk us through how to leverage the “Business
Model Canvas” for your business and for Maia Chapter. This
hands-on tool, when used in a group setting, will facilitate
discussion, creativity, and analysis and can result in better
strategic planning. This will support positive participation from
different perspectives with dynamic collaboration. You will be
able to get the best thinking from all involved. A related
version, “Business Model U,” can also be applied to
developing professional careers in leading businesses.
Currently, Dr. Wong is the Futrell Faculty Fellow to lead the Center
for Professional Development at Eastern Michigan University. She
teaches strategy, entrepreneurship, and organization development.
Her organizational strategy consulting, change management, and
executive coaching parallels expands into the community to work
with entrepreneurial businesses, government agencies and nonprofit
organizations with the support of the talented Sensei Change
team. The primary directive is “the willingness to learn” to enable
strategic change for leading organizations.
The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking
support, and national recognition. For more information about ABWA Maia Chapter, contact Delores Mortimer at mortime@umich.edu or
