Jazz and Blues at The Elks

West Side Ramblers who provide free entertainment playing Acoustic Oldies on the first Thursday of the month from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Burger Night at the Plymouth Ann Arbor Elks Lodge 325. (Except July 4th, 2019). Limited menu available from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The group is made up of 5 veteran musicians – Morgan Humecky on vocals, lead guitar and banjo; Sherry Humecky on the hammered dulcimer; Brian Newsom on chord melody/rhythm banjo; Kim Dominick on electric bass; Bob Ervin, rhythm guitar and vocals.
Blues @ The Elks happens on the second Tuesday of the month from 7 pm to 10 pm at the Plymouth Ann Arbor Elks Lodge #325 in partnership with the Detroit Blues Society (www.detroitbluessociety.org). There is a $5 donation at the door and bring your dancing shoes.
Tuesday, June 11th, He’s back!!! Bobby Murray Band! Bobby Murray toured for years with Etta James and now brings a great show to us. Bobby on guitar and vocals, Mark LoDuca on keyboard, Lenny Watkins on vocals, David Uricek on bass and vocals, and Ron Pangborn on drums. Great band, great dancing, great fun!
Tuesday, July 9th, The Kenny Parker Band with legendary Kenny Parker and Jim McCarty, both award winning musicians. This popular band playing your favorites includes Kenny Parker and Jim McCarty on guitar, Mike Marshall on bass, Dan Devins on harmonica and vocals, and Dave Marcaccio on drums.
Jazz @ The Elks happens on the last Tuesday of the month from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. There is a $10 donation at the door which includes hors d’oeuvres. Enjoy jazz in a listening room setting close to the entertainers.
Tuesday, June 25th, for the first time at the Elks, Dave Tatrow Quartet. This versatile trumpeter plays the whole gamut of jazz, Dixieland, blues, American songbook and he tells a joke or two. He brings a veteran band of musicians: Pat Cronley on keyboard, Kurt Krahnke on bass, and Pete Siers on drums. Enjoy a night out at the Elks.
Tuesday, July 30th New to the Elks will be Jim Cooper on vibraphone with the Jim Cooper Quartet. Playing with Jim will be returning musicians, Cliff Monear on keyboard, Kurt Krahnke on bass, and Pete Siers on drums. Join us for jazz favorites, some Latin, some smooth jazz.
