Northville Art House Presents Two Student Exhibitions in May

The 19th Annual Student Art Exhibit, May 4 – 19, 2018
The Northville Art House is proud to present The 19th Annual Student Art Exhibit featuring two- and three-dimensional works of art in various mediums from over 50 talented middle and high school students from Northville and Novi and surrounding areas. This year, the schools represented include Northville High School, Meads Mill Middle School, Hillside Middle School, and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Middle School in Northville, Novi Middle School in Novi, and John Glenn High School in Westland. In its 19th year, this exhibit is held in collaboration with local art educators to promote the appreciation and the importance of art among the community’s youth. All students participating in this all-media juried exhibit will receive recognition for their efforts including $150 in awards and prizes given for outstanding works of art as juried by a group of artists, art instructors, staff and community leaders. Last year, Stefanie Rosche, a senior at Northville High School received the Best of Show award!
The Student Art Exhibit opens with a free public reception, sponsored by NastGroup Financial, on Friday, May 4 from 6 – 9 p.m. with an Awards Presentation at 7 p.m. The exhibition runs through May 19 during Art House hours, Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m. and Saturday 12-4 p.m.
The National PTA Reflections – Northville Public Schools, May 22 – 25, 2018
Join the Northville Art House as we present the work of students from Northville Public Schools, who participated in this year’s National PTA Reflections program. Each year, the national PTA offers local, regional, state and national opportunities for young artists to be recognized for their creativity based on a specific theme in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and the visual arts. The 2017-8 theme was Within Reach.
The National PTA Reflections exhibition runs May 22 through May 25 during Art House hours, Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m. The free public reception will be held on Thursday, May 24 from 6 – 8 p.m.
