The 38th annual Webster Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, September 28, on the grounds of Historic Webster Village, located at the corner of Webster Church and Farrell Roads, just a few miles northeast of downtown Dexter.

This popular outdoor festival celebrates the heritage of Webster Township’s farming community with exciting and educational displays and activities, and offers old-fashioned country fun for the whole family.

Outside activities will include a display of vintage cars and farm machinery, demonstrations of historic crafts, hayrides, a barrel train, children’s activities, a farm-animal Petting Zoo, and a Vintage Base Ball game.

Our collection of historic buildings will be open to visitors who can attend a class in the Podunk One-room School or learn some new skills in the Blacksmith Shop. Original works of art by local artists will be on display in the Church Sanctuary.

An American flag retirement ceremony will be held on the Dieterle Corncrib Stage at 11:15am. This will be followed by live music featuring: Stout Hearted Strings – noon to 1pm; Fiddle Pie – 1:15 to 2:15; North Creek Fiddlers – 2:30 to 3:30; and the RFD Boys – 4 to 5pm.

Amelia Chapman will provide a unique performance using Aerial Silks at 12:30, 1:45, and 3pm.

Shoppers who come early will find the best selections of preserves and baked goods at the Taste of Webster. They will also find fresh produce at the Farmers’ Market, unique creations at the Artisans Market, and unknown treasures at the Rummage Sale.

At 10am, Braun and Helmer’s Auction Service will host a live auction of donated goods and antiques.

Food choices at the festival will include a Church Luncheon of soups and sandwiches served from 11am to 2pm, and a Pulled-Pork-Sandwich Dinner with sides that will start at 1pm. Hot dogs, popcorn and beverages will be available throughout the day.

Admission and parking are free.

The Webster Fall Festival is a family-friendly community event, co-hosted by the Webster United Church of Christ and the Webster Township Historical Society. This event takes place annually on the forth Saturday in September at Webster Corners. There is something for everybody: hay rides, music, crafters, an auction, a pet zoo, a Children’s carnival, food, displays of antique equipment, historical buildings, baked goods and preserves, demonstrations including wool spinning and blacksmithing!
